Hongfei Zhu of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2023 dean’s list at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.400 or higher. Zhu is in the game design and development program.
The following local students graduated May 25 from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va.: Jens Erick Ames and Sarah Willett, of Glen Allen; and Elizabeth Townsend Dotterer, Parker Nicole Longood, Thomas Frost Wood, Grace Tatum Caplice, Douglas Donnan O’Keefe and Lane Virginia Van Lenten, of Henrico.
Hopper Strauchler of Henrico graduated May 13 with a BS in Computer Science from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Carson Ayres of Glen Allen and Tyler Steinfatt of Henrico graduated in May from the University of Mississippi. Ayres majored in Risk Management and Insurance and Steinfatt majored in Marketing.
Camila Arjona of Glen Allen graduated May 14 with a BS in Political Communication from Emerson College in Boston, Mass.
Piper Mullins of Glen Allen recently graduated with a bachelor of general studies degree from Youngstown State University in Ohio.
Gov. Glenn Youngkin recently appointed Rooz Dadabhoy of Glen Allen to the Board of Visitors of Virginia Commonwealth University. Dadabhoy is CEO of Data Concepts.
Chirag Suresh Shah of Henrico recently graduated from Campbellsville University in Kentucky.
Najee Lawrence of Henrico recently graduated with a master of public health degree from Mercer University in Georgia.
Hailey Sell of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2023 president’s list at Western New England University in Springfield, Mass. To be eligible for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher. Sell is majoring in Electrical Engineering.
Dawn Karns of Henrico was named to the spring 2023 dean’s list at Ohio University. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5-3.999 for the semester.
Sean Detrick of Henrico was named to the spring 2023 dean’s list at Frostburg State University in Maryland. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
