Milestones - Jan. 26, 2021

The following local students graduated Dec. 19 from James Madison University: Laureen Dycus, Reese Manning, Lori Friend, Cameron von Kannewurff and Luke Petrie, of Glen Allen; and John Robertson, Emma Valerie, Abigail Donelson, Christopher DeConti, Giordan Crocker, Maxwell Vaughan, Elizabeth Burger, Kelvin Azanama, John Kinney, James Melnick, Thomas Carr, Tahlia Holloway, Christopher Leech, Evan Liesegang and Grace Hourigan, of Henrico.

Nathan Howard, a senior at Hermitage High School, was awarded the Wildcat Scholarship from Culver-Stockton College in Missouri. The $8,500-per-year scholarship is for four years and is awarded based upon academic credentials. Howard will be an incoming freshman this fall.

Emily Anstett of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2020 dean’s honor list at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. To qualify for the dean’s honor list, students must earn a semester quality point average of 3.60 or higher.

The following Henrico County students were named to the fall 2020 dean’s list at Shenandoah University: Jayda Cook, Ayomide Adebowale, Eunice Han and Justin Trickett. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

The following local students were named to the fall 2020 president’s list at Shenandoah University: Emily Vaughan, Shane Coriaty, Chelsea Goode, Evan Walker and Emily Tuck, of Henrico; and Madeline Berkle, of Glen Allen. To be eligible for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher.

The following Henrico County students recently earned an Award of Excellence at Western Governors University: Taylar Campbell, Sharon Driscoll, Regina Senn, Andrea Wilson, Lorenzo Cavanna and Sylvia Jackson.

Alexander Edward Tarr of Sandston was named to the fall 2020 dean’s list at Iowa State University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Tarr is pursuing an Architecture-Professional degree.

Collin Murphy of Glen Allen and Ben Davis and Sophia Goldin of Henrico were named to the fall 2020 dean’s list at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Tyler Tran of Glen Allen and Jada Alston and Samantha Hanczaryk of Henrico were named to the fall 2020 dean’s list at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5-3.99 for the semester.
