Gavin Jones of Henrico was named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher. Jones, an Accounting and Finance major, is a graduate of Douglas S. Freeman High School.

The following local students were named to the fall 2023 president’s list at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va.: Madeline Berkle, Jackson Smith and Peter Marshall, of Glen Allen; and Evan Walker and Nicholas Walker, of Henrico. To qualify for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher.

The following local students were named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Shenandoah University: David Munoz, Nicole Matson, Sydnee Flores, Braxton Snead, Caden Sherman and Clara Chenault, of Glen Allen; and Chelsea Goode and Dori Mouris, of Henrico. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Rory Miller of Henrico was named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Washington College in Chestertown, Md. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Caleb Vernon of Henrico was named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Fairmont State University in West Virginia. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher.

Robyn Young of Glen Allen recently was initiated into the all-discipline collegiate honor society Phi Kappa Phi. Young is a student at University of Maryland Global Campus. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.

Kevin Connelly of Henrico was named to the fall 2023 dean’s list with honors at McDaniel College in Westminster, Md. To be eligible for dean’s list with honors, students must earn a grade point average of 3.50-3.69 for the semester.

Hugh Maynard and Isabella Johnson of Henrico were named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at the University of Kentucky.

Alyssa McGinnis of Henrico was named to the fall 2023 president’s list at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Students must be ranked in the top three percent of undergraduate students within their division to receive this recognition.

Abby Gray of Henrico was named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Students must be ranked in the top 20 percent of undergraduate students within their division to receive this recognition.
