of Henrico was named to the fall 2022 dean’s list at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or higher. Jones is majoring in Business Administration and Finance.

The following local students were named to the fall 2022 president’s list at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va.: Evan Walker and Dori Mouris, of Henrico; and Madeline Berkle, Sydnee Flores and Jackson Smith, of Glen Allen. To be eligible for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher.

The following local students were named to the fall 2022 dean’s list at Shenandoah University: Meredith Kennedy, Chelsea Goode, Eunice Han and Cassidy Holmes, of Henrico; and Scott Fellin, Nicole Matson, Alan Cary and Peter Marshall, of Glen Allen. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

The Radford University Office of Undergraduate Research (OURS) sponsored the 4th Winter CARD, or Creative Activities and Research Days, Nov. 29 through Dec. 2. Working closely with faculty and other students during the fall semester, undergraduate students studied problems facing society and presented their research projects through posters or orally to an audience. Local participants included: Rafe Kahler (Amber Waves of Grain: The Case Against Refined Grain Consumption), Ella Selfe (Trends in Attitudes in the Effectiveness of Single-Parenting), Danielle Hunter (The Future of Composting), and Meredith Lawson (Trends in Support for Abortions), of Glen Allen; and Sierra Davis-Sparks (The Impact of a Prevention Program for Adolescents in Rural Areas for Decrease in Vape Use) and Virginia Ozolins (The Impact of Relaxation Therapy on Emotional Exhaustion Associated with Burnout in Emergency Room Physicians), of Henrico.

Hannah Smith of Henrico was named to the fall 2022 dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher.

Clare Murphy of Henrico was named to the fall 2022 dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The following local students were named to the fall 2022 president’s list at Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C.: Andrew Baker, of Glen Allen; and Alexander Carithers and Kathryn Carithers, of Henrico. To be eligible for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher.

Caleb Vernon of Henrico was named to the fall 2022 dean’s list at Fairmont State University in West Virginia. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher.

Aiga Langan of Henrico recently was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, a collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines, at Virginia Commonwealth University.
