John Burgoyne and John Whitlock of Henrico performed in this year’s production of “Christmas at Belmont,” held Dec. 20 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. The performance featured nearly 650 student musicians and School of Music faculty who performed an array of traditional carols, classical masterworks and seasonal favorites.


Emma Hester of Henrico was named to the fall 2021 dean’s list at York College of Pennsylvania. Hester is a senior majoring in Chemistry.


Allison Lovell of Henrico was named to the fall 2021 dean’s list at University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum 3.50 grade point average for the semester.


Gov. Ralph Northam recently made additional appointments to his administration: Board of Trustees of the Science Museum of Virginia – Surendra “Suri” Ganeriwala, PhD of Henrico, president of Spectra Quest, Inc.; and State Rehabilitation Council for the Blind and Vision Impaired – Heidi Lawyer of Henrico, curriculum support specialist at the Parent Education Advocacy Training Center. Gov. Northam also reappointed citizens to his administration: Virginia Soybean Board – Bill Nelson of Henrico, farmer at Colonial Acres Farm, LLC; Virginia Water Resources Research Center Statewide Advisory Board – Melanie Davenport of Henrico, director of Water Permitting Division at Department of Environmental Quality; and Virginia Geographic Information Network – Pravin Mathur, GISP of Henrico, senior geospatial consultant at Integrity Management Consulting.
