of Glen Allen was named to the fall 2023 president’s list at Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. To be named to the president’s list, students must earn a 3.75 or higher grade point average for the semester. Baker is a sophomore majoring in Business Administration.
Gabe Jimerson of Glen Allen was named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Pennsylvania Western University. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum 3.40 grade point average for the semester.
The following local students were named to the fall 2023 dean’s list at Bridgewater College in Virginia: Lucas Bauer, Abigail Freeman, Sarah Henneberger, Autumn Just, Valerie Lutz, Robert Rhoden and Abigayle Zaudtke, of Glen Allen; Colin Clegg, Grace Elder, Jake Harris, Parker Sale and Jackson Wicker, of Henrico; and Autumn Lewis and Hannah Mahan, of Sandston. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum 3.4 grade point average for the semester.
The following students from Henrico County graduated at the conclusion of summer semester from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta: Marcus Thoreson, Justen Caldwell, Elijah Sattler, William Xin and Yi Chun Yeh.
Phi Kappa Phi, a collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines, recently initiated Esha Sharma of Glen Allen. Sharma is a student at Virginia Commonwealth University. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.
Aaron Fowlkes of Glen Allen completed New York Institute of Technology’s rigorous Internship Certificate Program during the fall 2023 semester, earning valuable hands-on experience and developing a wide range of skills. Fowlkes worked at Giving Forward in the role of FWS-CS Color Correction and Headshot Cropping (Photography).
Gov. Glenn Youngkin recently announced additional key administration and board appointments: Virginia Board for People with Disabilities – Matthew Shapiro of Henrico, founder and CEO of 6 Wheels Consulting, LLC.
