Jennifer Boyle

Jennifer Boyle has been named the new president/CEO of Junior Achievement of Central Virginia, headquartered in Henrico. Boyle was selected from a thorough search process led by the JACV Board’s search committee. She has worked in nonprofits for 20 years and previously was executive director of MENTOR Virginia. Before this, she was JACV’s vice president of operations.


Gov. Ralph Northam recently announced additional appointments to his administration. Ghulam D. Qureshi, MD of Henrico was reappointed to the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth. Qureshi is a hematologist and oncologist at West End Hematology & Medical Oncology Group Inc. Gov. Northam also appointed Lacyn Barton of Sandston to the Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers. Barton is a funeral service licensee with Woody Funeral Home and Cremation Service.


The following local students graduated this summer from University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky.: Alyson Franklin, of Glen Allen; and Suryakanthi Navuduri and Aashka Rajesh Patel, of Henrico. Franklin earned a master of arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Navuduri and Patel both earned master of science degrees in Project Management.


Caleb Kenney of Henrico will attend the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. this fall. He is a member of the Class of 2025.
