Bailey Kane of Henrico was named to the fall 2020 dean’s list at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Pa. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester academic average of 3.4 or higher. Kane is a doctor of pharmacy student.
Callie Fleet of Henrico recently was initiated into the all-discipline collegiate honor society Phi Kappa Phi. Fleet was initiated at North Carolina State University. The following students from Virginia Tech also were initiated into Phi Kappa Phi: Caroline Bolyard, Mason Clark, Elizabeth Michalowicz and Kaitlin Phelon, of Glen Allen; and Shawn Richardson, of Henrico.
Olivia Conti of Glen Allen and Hunter Sundlun of Henrico were named to the fall 2020 dean’s commendation list at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. To be eligible for this honor, students must earn a quality point average of 3.300-3.599 for the semester.
Rhys Christian Kalama of Glen Allen was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense research project titled “Launching the Oceania Hub with Australia Project Center.” At WPI, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology to addresses an important societal need or issue. Kalama, a member of the class of 2022, is majoring in Civil Engineering.
