Milestones

Stephen Baker of Glen Allen is a member of the Bob Jones University Chorale, a 53-voice choir comprised of undergraduate and graduate BJU students from a variety of degree programs. The Chorale tours regularly and maintains a full performing schedule of concerts, oratorio and theater productions, as well as providing music for campus services and events. Baker is a senior majoring in Sport Management.

Micah Cohen of Henrico was recognized for academic achievement during the spring 2019 semester at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. Cohen received a gold star, given to cadets and students who achieve a 3.7 or higher grade point average, and was placed on The Citadel’s dean’s list.

Gov. Ralph Northam recently announced additional appointments to his administration. Jerrin Norton of Henrico was named to the Foundation for Healthy Youth Board of Trustees. Norton is a member of the Class of 2022, John Randolph Tucker High School and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. Carlos M. Brown of Henrico was reappointed to the Commonwealth Transportation Board. Brown is senior vice principal and general counsel at Dominion Energy.

Elizabeth J. Barker of Henrico graduated in September from Boston University. Barker received a master of social work degree in Social Work.
