Alden Blevins and Pramit Amrutlal Nadpara of Henrico recently were awarded a Love of Learning Award worth $500 from the all-discipline collegiate honor society Phi Kappa Phi. Love of Learning Awards are designed to help fund post-baccalaureate professional development for active Phi Kappa Phi members including graduate or professional studies, doctoral dissertations, continuing education, travel related to teaching and research, career development and more. Blevins and Nadpara were initiated at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2014 and 2018, respectively.
Sarwat Thobani of Glen Allen recently graduated from Kennesaw State University in Georgia.
Gov. Ralph Northam recently announced an additional appointment to his administration. David A. Christian of Henrico was reappointed to the Virginia Nuclear Energy Consortium Authority. Christian is a retired executive vice president of Dominion Energy.
