Amy Reamer, a licensed marriage family therapist of Henrico, recently earned the Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor credential, conferred by the Association for Play Therapy, according to its CEO Kathryn Lebby. To become an RPT-S, an applicant must have earned a traditional master’s or higher mental health degree from an institution of higher education, 150 clock hours of play therapy training, five years and 5,000 hours of post-master’s clinical experience, 500 supervised and 500 additional hours of play therapy experience, and be licensed or certified by their state boards of practice. Play therapy is a mental health modality used by licensed mental health professionals, when developmentally appropriate, to better communicate with and help clients achieve optimal mental health.


Hallie Wilson of Henrico is a first-year student at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.


Caroline Boyd and Walker Cummins of Henrico are first-year students at Hamilton College in New York. Boyd is a graduate of St. Catherine’s School and Cummins is a graduate of Collegiate School.


Alyssa Pasini of Glen Allen recently participated in the University of Vermont’s TREK, a seven-day first-year enrichment program sponsored by the University’s Department of Student Life. Pasini participated in hiking as part of the Wilderness TREK program. She hiked on average eight miles per day while exploring some of the highest, most remote and oldest footpaths in the country, located in the Adirondacks.
