Michael E. Gunter

Michael E. Gunter of Henrico recently authored the book “The Untamed: An Introduction to the Difficult and Dangerous Way of Christ.” In the book, Gunter explains how popular Christianity is vastly different from the life described by Jesus and his apostles. Hardly the meek and mild figure depicted in children’s Bibles, Jesus was tough and controversial and called people to a life that was mostly difficult and dangerous. “The Untamed” challenges the popular view of the Christian faith and takes Jesus at his word. A Christian for 36 years and a pastor for 20, Gunter is a graduate of Charleston Southern University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He published his first book, “A Life Not Wasted,” in 2005. “The Untamed” is available on amazon.com or at untamedgroup.com.
