Kali Lockhart of Henrico was named to the spring 2019 president’s list at James Madison University. To qualify for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.900 or higher. Lockhart is majoring in Biology.

Cassia Waligora of Henrico was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Wheaton College in Illinois. To earn dean’s list honors, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Brooke Allen Biastock, a graduate of Deep Run High School, was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Hollins University in Roanoke. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Biastock, a rising junior Creative Writing major, is the child of Greg and Leigh Biastock of Henrico.

Jette Fox of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at the University of Maine. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

The following students from Henrico County recently earned degrees from Western Governors University: Pamela Adams, Shon Smith, Tara Vartuli, Kristen Nelligan and Chauncey Dawkins.

Derrick Reeves of Sandston was named to the spring 2019 honor roll at Bethel University in Tennessee. To qualify for the honor roll, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.7 or higher. Breon Melvin of Henrico was named to the 2019 dean’s list at Bethel. To earn dean’s list honors, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 to 3.69.

Maurice Wilson of Henrico was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Champlain College in Vermont. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Wilson is majoring in Business Management.

Annabel Sammons and Dawn Westbrook-Boyd of Glen Allen graduated in May from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. Sammons received a BS in Environmental Sustainability, Health and Safety and a MS in Environmental, Health and Safety Management. Westbrook-Boyd received a MS in Health Care Interpretation.

Surya Vadivazhagu of Glen Allen was named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. WPI defines the dean’s list by the amount of work completed at the A-level in courses and projects. Vadivazhagu is majoring in Computer Science.

Gov. Ralph Northam recently announced additional appointments to his administration. Ronald L. Lanier of Henrico was named to the Board of Directors of the Assistive Technology Loan Fund Authority. Lanier is retired. Henry L. Chambers, Jr. of Henrico was reappointed to the Indigent Defense Commission. Chambers is a law professor at the University of Richmond.

Jacob Lawson of Henrico graduated May 11 from Emory & Henry College in Emory, Va.
