Rachel Trevillian of Henrico recently was selected as a member of Lake Forest College’s Senior 25. Senior 25 is a distinction awarded to 25 outstanding students entering their senior year. Selection is based on academic excellence, leadership on campus, commitment to service and extracurricular participation. The campus community nominates students during their junior year and a selection committee comprised of faculty, staff and current members of Senior 25 select the honorees, which are announced at the Student Leadership Awards Ceremony. During their senior year, the Senior 25 assist with the planning of senior year events and the fundraising of the Senior Class Gift.


Jansen Clarke Wooton of Glen Allen graduated May 19 from the University of Kansas. Wooton earned a bachelor of fine arts in Design.


Michelle Morrisey of Henrico was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5.


Vance Berry, III of Henrico graduated May 19 from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. Berry earned a bachelor of arts in Computer Science.


Cameron Timok of Glen Allen graduated in May from Central College in Pella, Iowa. Timok earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.


Olivia Carey of Henrico and Casey Duby of Glen Allen were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester at Emerson College in Boston, Mass. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.7 or higher. Carey is majoring in Writing, Lit & Pub: Publishing. Duby is majoring in Media Arts Production. Both students are members of the Class of 2020.


Precious Waddy of Henrico recently received the Student Leadership Team Award at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Va. The award was given for her service as the inaugural president of the Destiny’s Daughters Student Organization at EMU.


The following area students recently graduated from Clemson University: Madeline M. Blankenship (cum laude), Rachel L. Corbin and Anna L. Davis, of Glen Allen; and Madelyn A. Douglas, Bailey Kirkland Ward Galstan, Matthew C. Gnapp, Zachary G. Overstreet and John H. Woolley, of Henrico.


Jacob Sitison of Henrico recently was initiated into the all-discipline collegiate honor society Phi Kappa Phi. Sitison is pursuing degrees in Chemical Engineering and Mathematics at the University of Delaware.
