On March 15, 100 cadets from Randolph-Macon Academy marched in the New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, including Devlin Montgomery of Henrico. Held on the streets of New York since 1762, the NYC Saint Patrick's Day Parade is billed as the oldest and largest (more than 150,000 participants) parade in the Western Hemisphere. Montgomery, a sophomore at R-MA, is the son of Bill and Sharon Montgomery of Henrico.
The following local students recently were initiated into the all-discipline collegiate honor society Phi Kappa Phi: Dana Dabson and Michael Bannon, of Henrico; and Sierra Spain, of Sandston. All three students were initiated at Virginia Tech.
