Dylan W. Jennings of Varina was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum 3.4 grade point average for the semester. Jennings, a 2018 graduate of J.R. Tucker High School’s Advance College Academy, is majoring in GE in the College of Engineering. He is a member of the VT Corps of Cadets Delta Company and is on a four-year Navy ROTC scholarship. Jennings is the son of Daniel and Susan Jennings, and the grandson of Leona Jennings of Henrico.


Dakota Jennings of Varina was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a member of the Honors College and achieved a 4.0 grade point average. Jennings, a 2018 graduate of J.R. Tucker High School’s Advance College Academy, is majoring in Psychology with a medical school track. He is an E5 in Army ROTC and is on a four-year Army ROTC scholarship. Jennings is the son of Daniel and Susan Jennings, and the grandson of Leona Jennings of Henrico.


The Virginia Association of Planning District Commissions recently awarded Delegate Riley Ingram its seventh annual Legislator of the Year Award. The award was created to honor legislators who serve as ambassadors for the advancement of regional planning and multi-jurisdictional cooperation for economic and community development in Virginia. Ingram, whose 62nd District includes a portion of Eastern Henrico, has served in the General Assembly for nearly three decades.


The following students from Henrico County were named to the president’s list for the fall 2018 semester at The University of Alabama: Patricia Calkins, Katherine Bolton and Juliana Strobing. To qualify for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 4.0.


The following local students were named to the president’s list for the fall 2018 semester at Clemson University: Madeline M. Blankenship, Riley Mason Buckenmaier, Katelynne M. Collins, Holden Layne Davis and Olivia Carter Williams, of Glen Allen; and Emma Grace Mckenney and Katie Marie Goodman, of Henrico. To qualify for the president’s list, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.


The following local students were named to the president’s list for the fall 2018 semester at James Madison University: Lindsay Aiken, Ann Allred, Amy Antigha, Jessica Besnier, Alana Boykin-Carter, Drew Capuzzi, Corey Coldren, Grace Cuevas, Allyson Dods, Elizabeth Dudley, Rebekah Everett, Katherine Gilbert, Erica Glines, Carly Hayes, Abigail Hearn, Elizabeth Lesniak, Meshayla Lumpkin, Gillian Mackey, Jennifer Mollen, Mary Evelyn Pearsall, Thomas Peery, Karina Poulos, Reagan Richmond, Elizabeth Spare, Sydney Spevak, Monica Stallings and Virginia Waddell, of Henrico; Libby Baughan, Reid Christensen, Riley Cook, Christina Faillace, Samantha Hess, Charles Hines, Kasey Keup, Emily Kontos, Taylor Mohr, Tony Pau, Samantha Renehan, Hannah Ripley, Veronica Stewart, Grace Wright, Kelly Wyman, Teresa Yaniga and Laura Yates, of Glen Allen; and Lindsey McKim, of Sandston. To be eligible for the president’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.900 or above.


Claire M. Pitzer of Henrico was awarded faculty honors for the fall 2018 semester at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. Faculty honors are awarded to students with a minimum semester grade point average of 3.667.


Kylie Lynch of Glen Allen was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. To earn dean’s list honors, students must be ranked in the top 20 percent of undergraduate students within their division. Lynch is majoring in English (Creative Writing).


Eric A. Tallant and Lucinda Marie Archibald of Henrico were named to the dean’s honor roll for the fall 2018 semester at Fort Hays State University in Kansas. To be eligible for the dean’s honor roll, students must earn a minimum grade point average of 3.60 for the semester. Tallant is majoring in computer science. Archibald is majoring in elementary education.


Olivia Dimond of Henrico was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.77 or greater. Dimond is the daughter of Ellen B. Dimond of Henrico and Renwick D. Dimond of Henrico. She is a 2018 graduate of the Collegiate School.


Tyler Jahn of Glen Allen was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester at SUNY Geneseo. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester.


Deborah Mayo of Henrico was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester at Tufts University in Massachusetts. To earn dean’s list honors, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.
