Precious Waddy, of Henrico, was honored at the Fall Student Recognition chapel at Eastern Mennonite University on Dec. 8 for Achievement of Leadership Recognition on the Black Student Union Board. Students were nominated by faculty and staff for outstanding achievements in their respective areas.


Wheaton College student Cassia Waligora recently performed in "Messiah, Prince of Peace," the 2017 Christmas Festival presented by the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music. Waligora, of Henrico, sang alto I with Women's Chorale.


Meghan Carol Broderick, of Glen Allen, graduated in December from the University of Nebraska/Lincoln. Broderick earned a master of education degree from the Office of Graduate Studies.


Stephen Baker, of Glen Allen, was named to the president’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. The president’s list recognizes students who earn a 3.75 or higher grade point average for the semester. Baker is a sophomore majoring in Sports Management.


Hayley Walker, of Henrico, graduated Dec. 15 from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C. Walker earned a bachelor of science degree in Marine Science.
