Gov. Ralph Northam recently announced additional appointments to his Administration:
- Advisory Board on Respiratory Care – Bruce K. Robin, of Henrico, professor and chair of the Department of Pediatrics and professor of Biomedical Engineering at VCU School of Medicine; physician in chief at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU
- Board of Game and Inland Fisheries – The Hon. John W. Daniel II, of Henrico, government affairs officer at Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority
- Citizen’s Advisory Council on Furnishing and Interpreting the Executive Mansion – Peggy Layne, of Henrico, community volunteer
- Foundation for Healthy Youth – The Hon. John M. O’Bannon, of Richmond, neurologist; and Vineeta Shah, of Henrico, registered dietician and community volunteer
- Board for Professional Soil Scientists, Wetland Professionals and Geologists – Justin T. Brown, of Glen Allen, environmental specialist with Virginia Department of Environmental Quality
- Common Interest Community Board – Amanda Jonas, of Henrico, director of community development at HHHunt Communities

Alaina Kate Murphy, of Henrico, graduated Aug. 4 from The University of Alabama. She received a master’s degree in Accountancy.
The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. recently welcomed the Class of 2022. Local incoming cadet recruits include: Charleston Dodson, Dimitri Georgiadis and Andrew Parkhurst, of Henrico.
Sneha Budda Reddy, of Glen Allen, recently was awarded The Shepherd Fund Scholarship from the Shepherd University Foundation. The Foundation provided close to $2 million in student, faculty and program support for 2018-19.
