John O’Bannon, a physician, partner in Neurological Associates and former 17-year member of the Virginia House of Delegates, was one of five people recently elected to the Virginia War Memorial Foundation Board of Directors. O'Bannon has previously served as trustee of the Virginia War Memorial Board, including as past chairman. He also has served as president of the Richmond Academy of Medicine. He is a graduate of Hargrave Military Academy, the University of Richmond and the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.


Victoria Johnson, of Henrico, recently graduated from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pa. She earned a doctor of physical therapy degree. Johnson achieved a 100 percent on her national licensure exam which is offered through the National Physical Therapy Examination.


Robert H. Foresman of the Henrico County Division of Fire was among those to graduate from the Emergency Management Advanced Academy recently. The academy, a program of the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Emergency Management Institute, was hosted by the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. The Advanced Academy historically has been taught at the EMI campus in Maryland, but Virginia was selected to be the first state to provide off-campus offerings. The Advanced Academy is designed for emerging leaders from government, non-profit voluntary organizations and private sector managers responsible for emergency management.  All the graduating students are from Virginia.
