The Elizabeth Adam Crump Manor Auxiliary has been named the 2017 Group Volunteer of the Year by the Virginia Health Care Association-Virginia Center for Assisted Living (VHCA-VCAL). Members of the Auxiliary have volunteered at Elizabeth Adam Crump Health and Rehab, a skilled nursing facility located in Glen Allen, for more than 30 years. A cornerstone of the Auxiliary’s volunteer efforts is their operation of the center’s gift shop. With the revenue from the gift shop, the Auxiliary is able to lavish the residents with individualized Christmas gifts and host special events like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day celebrations and a fall barbecue luncheon. The gift shop also serves as an important gathering place in the center where residents can socialize. Member of the Elizabeth Adam Crump Manor Auxiliary, represented by Linda Angel, Joyce Foster, Colleen Fox, Betty Lyon, and Susan Mills, were presented with this honor at the annual VHCA-VCAL Awards Banquet, held this year in Richmond on September 13.
