Thomas Mitchell, a member of the Class of 2019 at Virginia Military Institute, has been named regimental S4 captain (logistics) for the 2018-19 academic year. In this position, Cadet Mitchell will be responsible for logistics integration of supply, transportation, and services for the Corps of Cadets. Cadet Mitchell is an economics and business major at VMI. He’s the son of Tom and Jamie Mitchell, of Henrico, and a graduate of St. Christopher’s School.
The following local students recently were initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, a collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines, at James Madison University: Kenneth Harbin, Rebekah Everett and Mary Evelyn Pearsall, of Henrico.
Alexis B. Ohree, of Henrico, recently was indicted into Saint Vincent College’s chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta, an international honor society for first-year students with outstanding academic achievement. Students must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during their first year of study to be considered for membership in the organization. Ohree is majoring in engineering.
