Table of Contents

The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York: Rena Chen and Timothy Carter, of Henrico; and Annabel Sammons, of Glen Allen. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a 3.4 or greater grade point average for the semester. Chen is majoring in business administration/accounting. Carter is majoring in game design and development. Sammons is majoring in environmental sustainability, health and safety.


The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Northeastern University in Boston, Mass.: Nisha Rangarajan, of Glen Allen; and Josie Lee and Cole Alder, of Henrico. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a 3.5 or greater quality point average for the semester. Rangarajan is majoring in business administration. Lee is majoring in chemical engineering. Alder is majoring in sociology.


The following students from Henrico County were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn.: Alicia Todd Hyman, Benjamin Lee Ellis and Elizabeth Douglas McLean. To earn dean’s list honors, students must earn a minimum 3.625 grade point average for the semester.


Emily Disler and Logan Douglas, of Henrico, were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Disler is a 2014 graduate of Collegiate School. Douglas is a 2016 graduate of Maggie L. Walker Governors School.


Lauren Lightfoot Clare, of Henrico, recently graduated from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah. Clare earned her Endorsement Preparation Program in Educational Leadership degree.


Cailey Barbara Cummins and Clara Katherine Giorgis, of Henrico, were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum 3.7 grade point average for the semester. Cummins is a sophomore political science major and the daughter of Ralph and Druanne Cummins. She is a graduate of Freeman High School. Giorgis is a first-year and the daughter of Daniel and Ryan Giorgis. She is a graduate of Maggie L. Walker Governors School.


William Bice, of Henrico, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a 3.75 or greater grade point average for the semester. Bice is majoring in Music and Russian Area Studies. He is the son of Charles and Laura Bice.
