Milestones

The following area students were named to the president’s list for the fall 2017 semester at The University of Alabama: Benedict Elia, Lauren Golmon and Logan Strusky, of Glen Allen; and Maura Lyons, of Henrico. To qualify for the president’s list, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at The University of Alabama: Mackenzie O'Barr, Emma Snearer and Claudia Long, of Glen Allen; and Eleanor Dillon, Laura Valentine, Patricia Calkins, Finley Griffin, Carrie Ragsdale, Olivia Albergo, Margaret Smith, Jack Johnson and Alec Pagano, of Henrico. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must earn a 3.5 or greater grade point average for the semester.

Philip Edward Cross, of Henrico, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Norwich University in Northfield, Vt. Dean’s list recipients must earn a 3.0 or greater grade point average for the semester.

Lauren Amanda Wells, of Glen Allen, was named to the dean’s list with honors for the fall 2017 semester at McDaniel College in Westminster, Md. To qualify for the dean’s list with honors, students must earn a 3.50-3.69 grade point average for the semester.

Gary Rowley, of Henrico, graduated Dec. 15 from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. He received a MS in Emergency Management.

Myriam Kadeba, of Henrico, recently graduated from The University of Akron in Ohio. Kadeba earned a doctor of philosophy degree in Counseling Psychology.

Bradley Douthat, of Henrico, recently graduated from Valdosta State University in Georgia. Douthat earned a Master of Library and Information Science degree.

Jessica Jahn, of Glen Allen, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. To earn dean’s list honors, a student must earn a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester.
