Jocelyn Marencik

Jocelyn Marencik of Glen Allen was named a recipient of the inaugural Keker Common Experience Scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The scholarship is awarded to select first-year students who engage and excel in all four areas of the Keker Common Experience throughout the academic year. As part of her scholarship, a welcome letter written by Marencik to new UNCG students will be featured on the first page of the 2020-2021 Keker Success Guide. She also will serve as an ambassador for the program as a member of the KCE Team.


Andrew Miles of Highland Springs recently was recognized during the Student Affairs Leadership and Service virtual awards at Lebanon Valley College. Miles received the First-Year Student Leader of the Year award, awarded to first-year students who most notably demonstrated initiative, motivation, and potential for continued student leadership within the College.


Alexis Adkins of Henrico and Spurgeon Simmons of Glen Allen graduated May 6 from Georgia State University. Adkins received a bachelor of science in Biological Science. Simmons received a master of science in Sport Administration.
