We'd like to think so! After all, when you know more about what's happening in Henrico, you're more likely to get involved – and that's a good thing for all of us. It means you're more likely to vote, more likely to weigh in on government and education matters, and more likely to lend a hand to a local nonprofit or community organization as a volunteer.

In the past three months alone, more than 240,000 of you have visited our website – evidence that you care about your community. But our ability to continue providing daily weekday coverage of Henrico County – and to hire additional reporters to cover more of what you've told us matters to you – depends upon the contributions of readers like you.

There's much more work to be done.

But what I like even less is not having the resources we need to cover more of the government, housing, transportation, entertainment, business and community issues you care about. We have a backlog of dozens upon dozens of ideas for articles that we can't write because there aren't enough of us to write them.
