McShin Foundation planning Recovery Fest, Mobilize Recovery event

The Recovery Fest will take place from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the foundation’s Lakeside location at 2300 Dumbarton Road. The event will feature speakers, live music, food trucks, rapid revive training, free Narcan, and vendors.

Then on Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Mobilize Recovery Across America Bus Tour will stop at the foundation's location from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is designed to help solve recovery issues and provide advocacy information. It also will include Virginia BBQ and a performance by country music artist Whey Jennings, the grandson of Waylon Jennings.
