McShin awarded exemplary accreditation status

The McShin Foundation, the only Recovery Community Organization accredited in Virginia, has been awarded its third accreditation from the Council on Accreditation of Peer Recovery Support Service.
One of only 19 Recovery Community Organization accredited in the U.S., McShin has been granted exemplary status, a five-year award with no performance improvement plan.
CAPRSS is the only accrediting body in the US for recovery community organizations and other programs offering addiction peer recovery support services. CAPRSS commits to provide asset-based accreditation that is fair, balanced, contemporary, focused on the “real world”and based on recovery principles and emerging evidence-based practices.
