The McShin Foundation will host a free concert featuring the Matt Butler Foundation Tour August 15 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The concert will take place at the McShin Foundation, 2300 Dumbarton Rd.

Matt Butler is a folk artist, rock 'n' roller, and storyteller who founded his own non-profit, the Just One Foundation, after confronting a lifelong struggle with alcoholism and substance abuse.

After getting sober, Butler recorded his debut solo album Reckless Son, a confession of his battle with addiction and his inspiring path to recovery. He has spent the past year on the road supporting the album and the nationally-distributed documentary Generation Found, performing across the country at such venues as The Paramount Theater in Los Angeles, the steps of numerous State Capitol buildings, and a "Behind The Walls" Tour of state prisons across Ohio.

More recently, Butler was honored as a 2017 Leader In Mental Health Awareness by the National Alliance on Mental Illness, alongside Pulitzer Prize Winner Ron Powers and Super Bowl Champion Keith O’Neil.
