Man shot outside Sandston plant

A man is in critical condition after being shot outside the Bunge plant in Sandston April 27.
The shooting happened shortly before 2:20 p.m. in the parking lot of the plant at 1595 Mary Street, adjacent to I-64.
First-responding Henrico Police officers provided aid to the victim until medical crews arrived. The man was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.
Police reported that the shooting didn’t appear to be an act of violence toward employees or the employer. The plant was allowed to remain open as police investigated.
