Man shot in Eastern Henrico neighborhood

A man suffered a life-threatening injury to his arm and chest after being shot shortly before 9 a.m. Monday in an Eastern Henrico neighborhood.
It happened in the 3000 block of Stony Valley Drive, in the Stony Run Estates neighborhood just off Creighton Road. Henrico Police were dispatched to the area at 8:44 a.m., found the man and administered first aid until Henrico Fire could transport the victim to an area hospital.
The Henrico Police Criminal Investigative Section is collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses but is seeking additional information from anyone who has it.
