Man injured in Northern Henrico shooting

One man was hospitalized with critical injuries after being shot Friday morning in Northern Henrico.
The shooting happened at about 11:40 a.m. in the vicinity of Gardenia Drive, just off Woodman Road and near the Henrico County Department of Public Works depot. Police had been called to the 9800 block of Gardenia for reports of a firearm violation, then shortly thereafter received reports of a gunshot victim in the same area and connected the two incidents.
On scene, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
