Major League Fishing tournament coming to Henrico in 2022

, the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, announced July 22 that its 2022 Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit will feature a stop in Henrico at the James River.

The site will be the fifth stop of the season for professional bass fishing’s top five-fish limit circuit. The event, hosted by Richmond Region Tourism, will take place June 16-19 in Varina.

“The Richmond region is thrilled to serve as one of the locations for the upcoming 2022 MLF Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit next year,” said Jerrine Lee, director of sports development at Richmond Region Tourism. “We can’t wait to welcome some of the country’s best anglers for an exciting and competitive weekend along the James River.”

The 27th season of the MLF Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit (formerly FLW Tour) will feature six regular-season stops showcasing the best anglers in the world competing for thousands of dollars across the best bass fisheries in the United States. The 2022 season will culminate with the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit TITLE, in which 50 anglers will qualify – the top 48 finishers in the Pro Circuit Angler of the Year standings along with the reigning 2021 TITLE Champion and the 2021 Angler of the Year.
