Loveday Pro Am basketball league begins play in Henrico

The Loveday Pro Am basketball league, which features a variety of college and professional basketball players, began its second season June 28 with three games at Henrico High School – including one featuring current Denver Nuggets player Bones Hyland, a former VCU star. (Pictured above are images from the inaugural game, between Local Legends and Assists.)

The six-team league will play four weeks of Tuesday-Thursday games, each one lasting a little less than an hour. Tuesday night games (July 5, 21 and 19) will take place at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Henrico High School, while Thursday night games (June 30, July 7, 14 and 21) will take place at the same times at Highland Springs High School.

The first round of playoffs will take place July 26 at Henrico High School at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., with the championship rounds taking place July 28 at Highland Springs High School, also at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
