Long-term lane closure on Varina-Enon Bridge to begin March 10

The left travel lane on Interstate 295 southbound on the Varina-Enon Bridge will be closed from Monday, March 10 at 9 a.m. until March 11 at 6 am. (weather permitting) and then again beginning in the overnight hours March 11 for a period of about four months, to permit maintenance work by the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The current left lane closure on I-295 northbound will be removed overnight on March 11, and that lane will reopen March 12, VDOT officials said.
