Local SCAD student performs in 'Savannah Songs'

Josh Vranas (pictured, in red vest and bowtie), a Henrico native and current student at the Savannah College of Art and Design, participated recently in a first-of-its-kind performing arts experience in Savannah, celebrating the history of the city and the university’s 40th anniversary. Through this performance, called “Savannah Songs,” SCAD provided the audience with a time-travel experience through a walking musical of four iconic spots in Savannah.

Vranas joined more than 60 students from a range of degree programs including performing arts, dramatic writing, preservation design, interior design and costume design worked together to bring the “Savannah Songs” performance to life to celebrate the history of Savannah.
