Local restaurant group to offer COVID-19 vaccinations for employees, customers Aug. 19

Local restaurant group EAT Restaurant Partners will offer COVID-19 vaccinations for its employees and customers at one of its Richmond locations Aug. 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The vaccinations will take place at Fat Dragon, 1200 North Arthur Ashe Boulevard. Anyone who is vaccinated there also will receive 15% off their entire bill at any of the group’s restaurants the same day when showing their vaccination card. Participating restaurants include Fat Dragon, Foo Dog, Boulevard Burgers and Brew, Wong Gonzalez, Pizza Beer Richmond, Hot Chick, Beijing on Grove, Red Salt, Fatty Smokes, Wong’s Tacos, Lucky Asian Fusion, Osaka, and Wild Ginger.
The company also is offering additional incentives for its employees.
“Something we pride ourselves at EAT group is not only offering great food, but also an incredible atmosphere,” explains Brooke Clarke of Eat Restaurant Partners. “We want our customers to know that we value their health and safety… and getting vaccinated is the best way to stay safe from COVID-19.”
“Partnering with employers has been one of the most effective methods of getting folks vaccinated this summer,” explains Richmond and Henrico Health Districts Public Health Nurse Supervisor Joanna Cirillo. “It’s a win-win; employees have an accessible option to access this critical health service and employers can feel more assured that they are maintaining a healthy workplace environment for their employees.”
Other vaccination opportunities in the next few days in Henrico sponsored by the RHHD will take place:
• Aug. 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Brookland Middle School, 9200 Lydell Drive in Henrico;
• Aug. 20 from 9 a.m. to noon at Henrico West Clinic, 8600 Dixon Powers Drive in Henrico (all three vaccines will be offered);
• Aug. 24 from noon to 2 p.m. at St. Andrew’s UMC, 9801 Fort King Road in Henrico (Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson vaccines will be offered).
