Leadership Metro Richmond will host its annual Spring Board Connector Tuesday, March 28, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Collaboratory of Virginia at U-Turn. The free networking event, sponsored by Capital One and CarMax, is designed to connect people interested in serving on nonprofit boards with 40 organizations representing a wide range of missions from the region.

A complete list of participating nonprofits can be found at www.lmronline.org/board-engagement.

“Serving on a nonprofit board, bringing your passion, interest, and abilities forward to improve our communities is honorable and needed. Community residents may want to lead and serve but are unaware of how to find out what agencies are seeking board members and how to connect with those that are. Board Connectors creates an environment for those introductions to occur.” said Myra Goodman Smith, president and CEO of LMR.

Board Connector, held twice a year, increases community involvement and promotes the opportunity for diversity on local boards. The event will take place in a casual open-house house setting, where people may engage with nonprofit representatives face-to-face. Board prospects across all industries and experience levels are encouraged to attend. The event is free and open to the public, but you must register to attend.
