Letters: Physician urges residents to be vaccinated

Table of Contents

Dear Editor,

Our mission at Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Inc is to provide the highest quality of individualized-focused care, an objective we pursued even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, we were able to collaborate with Richmond’s local hospitals and with their guidance and assistance, delivered the same level of support to our patients during unprecedented circumstances.

I appreciate the flexibility and diligence of our city and county’s hospital systems. Healthcare professionals worked around the clock to serve Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Inc patients, as well as those with COVID-19 complications, and the many who needed routine care for other conditions. The pandemic demonstrated the integral role that our local hospitals play here in the Richmond Metro Area. From one-on-one care to therapeutic assistance, hospitals made it possible for us to maintain the health and well-being of our patients.

Now, as we emerge into a new phase of the pandemic and more of the economy reopens, recovery will hinge on our ability to come together and increase vaccination rates. While our local hospitals performed admirably through COVID-19, no one wishes to experience such a crisis again.

Today, it’s our turn to step up. Vaccines are the key to returning to normal – I urge all Richmond Metro residents to receive yours if you haven’t already done so. We are so close to where we need to be for everyone’s health.

Sincerely,

Dr. Tracey Adler
