LETTERS: Boy Scout encourages reading

Hello, my name is Harper. I am a Boy Scout here in Henrico and for my Communications Merit Badge, I am reaching out to you to share some of my thoughts about the importance of reading. Reading is so incredibly important in so many ways.

It allows people to learn, escape to new worlds, and experience new perspectives. It is the basic building block in everyone's education and life. Without books and the ability to read, you would become stuck. It can become a stress reliever and can boost brain gain.

Keeping this topic in mind, as I explored your website I wasn't able to find many articles promoting reading, new authors, libraries, etc. I looked through Entertainment as well as Education and still, there weren't many stories that talked about these things. I am hoping that emailing you will encourage your hardworking writers and editors to create a new focus on this topic and sprinkle in more articles like this. It could help more people than you know get into reading and create a new interest that would benefit them for the rest of their lives. Spread the joy that comes from books and reading.
