Leadership Metro Richmond to host ‘Board Connector’ event Sept. 28.

Leadership Metro Richmond will host its bi-annual Board Connector event at The Collaboratory of Virginia at U-Turn Sept. 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The networking event is free and designed to bring together community leaders who are in search of board opportunities with nonprofit organizations seeking board members, in a casual, open-house atmosphere.
The event seeks to increase civic engagement across various sectors and to advance equity in leadership through board service.
“We are calling on diverse community leaders interested in service and building a stronger Richmond community to attend our Fall Board Connector,” said LMR President and CEO Myra Goodman Smith. “Board Connector aims to improve the diversity of leaders engaged with Richmond-area nonprofits.”
The event is open to the public. Attendees and nonprofits interested in attending should register at https://lmronline.org/board-connector/. Masks will be optional at the event.
U-Turn is located at 2101 Maywill Street in Henrico.
