Leadership Metro Richmond recruiting next class

Table of Contents

Applications for the 39th class of Leadership Metro Richmond’s flagship program Leadership Quest will open Feb. 25. Community leaders from Ashland, Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, Powhatan and the City of Richmond are encouraged to apply for the Leadership Quest Class of 2020. The online application form will be available at lmronline.org through Apr. 29.

All interested candidates are encouraged to attend one of four recruitment receptions, the first of which takes place February 27 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Steam Bell Beer Works (1717 Oak Lake Boulevard, Midlothian). The remaining three receptions will be held March 14 in Eastern Henrico, March 26 in Innsbrook, and April 11 in Downtown Richmond. These receptions will give candidates the opportunity to meet LMR staff and alumni, while learning more about the organization.

Leadership Quest connects a diverse group of leaders each year, increasing their knowledge and perspectives on regional issues while inspiring them to embrace inclusion, collaboration and servant leadership. The 10-month program provides participants with tools essential for community leadership and with opportunities to interact and dialogue with experts and decision makers who shape issues critical to the region.

The Leadership Quest experience includes an orientation and three-day weekend retreat in early September. From October through June, the class meets for a full day seminar on the first Wednesday of each month, with the exception of January when the class will participate in a two-day mid-year retreat.
