A resident of the Lakewood senior living community in western Henrico diagnosed with COVID-19 April 10 is now considered recovered from the virus after testing negative yesterday, according officials from the community.
The resident was the first of two to test positive; the other, diagnosed April 12, has been isolated since April 9 and “appears to be recovering,” Lakewood officials said in a statement today.
During the past week, Lakewood has tested 111 team members in its health services area, after a nurse there tested positive April 16. Of the 74 test results received so far, five were positive.
Previously, three certified nursing assistants (April 14), a nurse in the health services area (April 12), a nurse manager in the health care area (April 10), a member of the housekeeping team (April 2) and a contracted nurse practitioner (April 2) all had tested positive. The latter three are reported to be recovering at home, according to community officials.
