Lakeside Halloween event set for Oct. 21

Lakeside's third annual Halloween in the Hub will take place Oct. 21 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Hub parking lot, 6913-6945 Lakeside Avenue.
The trunk-or-treat event is open to all ages; admission is free for children 13 and younger. Adults and children ages 14 and older will be asked to pay $5 to enter; entry will include a raffle ticket and chance to win one of four or five donated baskets.
Other festivities will include a dog costume contest (judging by the SPCA), haunted house, puppet show, spooky photo booth, trunk-or-treating, live music, fire hooping event, entry to the Mystic Market in the back lot, and more. SB’s Lakeside Love Shack will provide food and beverages from a limited menu. Alcoholic beverages will be available and permitted in designated areas, and drink tickets will be available for purchase at the entrance.
