Table of Contents

Registration is now open for Henrico County families who want to enroll kindergarten students for the 2023-24 school year.

Children eligible to be enrolled must reside in Henrico County with a parent or court-appointed legal custodian and be 5 years old by Sept. 30.

There are two ways to complete the initial registration process for rising kindergartners in Henrico County Public Schools:
• through the online PowerSchool Enrollment form;
• by calling the child’s school and making an appointment with the registrar for an in-person meeting.

School system officials strongly encourage families to use the online option, which is available at www.henricoschools.us/kindergarten-registration/.

From that link, click to the PowerSchool Enrollment portal, which includes instructions and information about the documents needed to register a strudent. Follow the step-by-step instructions, and within the portal complete a enrollment form, a home language survey and the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act screening form. Then follow the prompts to submit the initial registration documents to your school online.

Your school’s registrar will contact you to arrange an in-person appointment to bring additional documents to the school to finalize the registration.
