On May 30, James River Writers will partner with We Need Diverse Books to host an online panel discussion about the issue of diverse representation in literature.

Part of JRW’s annual advocacy series, the event will take place May 30 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., during Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Featured panelists will include three authors: We Need Diverse Books board member Minh Lê, We Need Diverse Books Executive Director Caroline Tung Richmond, and Kaitlyn Sage Patterson, fundraiser for We Need Diverse Books. Poet Rosa Castellano, who spearheads writing programs at the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, will moderate the discussion.

Registration is required online. Registrants are asked to make a $5 donation to We Need Diverse Books.
