A popular local jeweler will become the anchor tenant of a new Short Pump retail site, the project’s development and leasing companies announced this week.

Fink’s Jewelers will move out of Short Pump Town Center and into an 8,500-square-foot space at the new West Village site at the corner of West Broad Street and North Gayton Road, according to officials with developer Rebkee Co. and leasing agents Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer.

Rebkee has broken ground on the site, which will include about 50,000 square feet of retail as well as residential space.

“With the planned interchange at Gayton and 64, West Village will provide convenient and direct access for retailers that want visibility and a high-end boutique shopping experience for its customers,” said Dan Hargett, principal at Rebkee.

Fink’s Jewelers has been located at Short Pump Town Center for the past 20 years but its new store will become its largest, featuring 15- to 25-foot-high ceilings and a number of private and semi-private spaces for client entertainment. Plans for the new store include a state-of-the-art Rolex corner and a David Yurman shop-in-shop.

“We believe that as retail shopping continues its evolution, many luxury brands like Fink’s will look for convenient and visible locations,” Hargett added.

Pre-leasing for the center is underway, with the first occupancies slated for late 2023. The project will also offer a residential component to the rear of the overall site, with construction expected to start later in the year.
