The free event will feature educational activities, tree giveaways, a rain barrel workshop and more. The center is located at 2825 Dock Street along the James River, just west of Rocketts Landing and the Henrico County line.

Attendees are invited to learn about local ecology and discover sustainable practices that can make a difference in the community. The event also will include tree giveaways and information about how to collect and use rainwater efficiently, as well as the chance to win a rain barrel. A trash cleanup and educational booths also will be part of the event.

Those who attend will be able to explore exhibits on the James River Watershed, local flora and fauna and sustainable living practices. The event also will offer family-friendly activities and a variety of speakers and workshops.
