Hungary Road Baptist Church will hold its annual “Friends and Family Day” on Sunday, July 8. The day-long festivities will begin with a come-as-you-are worship service at 10 a.m., followed by a free cookout for the community.

The worship service will feature guest psalmist Evangelist Marjorie Robertson. The HRBC Legacy Choir, featuring the senior members of the church, also will minister in song. Rev. Willie Smith, pastor of Hungary Road Baptist Church, will deliver the sermon. Guests are invited to dress down in casual attire for the worship service.

After the service, the HRBC Deacon Board will host a picnic in the parking lot and lawn of the church. The tented event will offer a free cookout, a kids' zone with lawn games and more. The community is invited to the free event.

Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the church’s food pantry, which is running low on food. Donations for the food pantry may also be dropped during normal service times, which are during Sunday School, 9:30 a.m.; regular Sunday worship, 11 a.m.; and Bible Study, Wednesday at 6 p.m.
