Homeward to host Nov. 4 webinar for landlords about new housing vouchers

Homeward will host a 90-minute webinar Nov. 4 for landlords in the Richmond region to learn more about the new Emergency Housing Voucher program and how they can participate. The EHV program, which is funded as part of the American Rescue Plan, covers the rental costs of program participants, providing housing for clients while creating a guaranteed source of payment for landlords.
The webinar, from noon to 1:30 p.m., will provide an overview of the program, review of landlord requirements, analysis of landlord incentives, and description of the program participants and how homeless service providers can support landlords.
Speakers will explore the program’s components and help landlords understand how they can participate. The EHV program has a referral process, and there is a significant opportunity for landlords to benefit from the program.
