Table of Contents

Highland Springs High School football player Damond Harmon, a top-15 recruit in Virginia and one of the top defensive back recruits in the nation, committed to Oklahoma Saturday, choosing the Sooners over a number of other high-profile Division I football suitors, including Georgia, Penn State, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Harmon is the latest in a growing list of Springers players to continue their careers at top-level collegiate programs. His teammate Kelvin Gilliam, Jr., also is being wooed by Oklahoma, as well as nine other top programs; he will select from his final group of 10 Aug. 22.
